Top 5 St Patrick's Day Recipes

Hello everyone!
I'm really sorry I haven't been posting much on this blog as I was stuck for ideas but I have a few now and I will be writing up some new posts during the Easter holidays!
Since today is St Patrick's Day I wanted to share with you all my Top 5 St Patrick's Day Recipes for the special Irish day!
Some theses I haven't personal tried making yet but they look so good to try and eat or even make at home! All the recipes are from BBC Food!
Celeriac soup with scallops & black pudding
1. Celeriac soup with scallops & black pudding
From BBC Food
Celeriac soup looking so creamy with the scallops and the black pudding looks divine. Very easy to prep and cook for under 30 minutes each! There isn't a load of ingredients either in the soup either, some of the main ingredients are 1 celeriac, 5 shallot, 3 garlic, 125ml double cream, 100g of black Clonakilty pudding, 50g of butter and 12 scallops.
2. Stout-braised steak with stacked chips
This yummy looking steak with home made cut chips with a bit of a salad and gravy  to go along with looks like proper comfort home food! Prep is 20 minutes and to cook is 3 hours and 15 mins. While this cooking you could make your dessert along with the meal!

3. Mussels steamed with cider & bacon
The prep of the mussels take long than actually cooking them as for the washing of the mussels and checking if they are alive is the harder bit! Advice for the mussels, place them into a bowl of cold water and wash them and gently table the mussel off the table to see if the mussels lid closes to. If it does the mussel is alive and if not just throw it away as it may be a health risk to eat a dead mussel! 40 minutes to prep and cook for 20 minutes. Also I wouldn't use Orchard Thieves cider which I love but it's too sweet for the mussel try an medium taste cider.

4. Guinness pudding with Whisky cream
The yummy Guinness pudding can be a left over Christmas pudding you didn't use can be very handy for this! Along the taste of Guinness it will taste so nice along with the whipped cream. Tastes more amazing when the pudding it slightly heated in the oven for 3 minutes!

5. Irish apple tart
This one of my favourite home made baking food from home with a bit of cream is home comfort baking! Just takes 30 minutes to prep and an hour to cook in the oven. If your having an early dinner going to watch the parade on RTE just have this to eat along with your Barry's tea or your hot Irish coffee along!

I wish you all an Happy St Patrick's Day! Hope you have a great with family and friends! Have pint of Guinness or an Irish brewery beer or cider!
See you all Soon
PB x
